Our clinics are multi-disciplinary clinics that provide services such as Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, and Massage Therapy. We Serve patients with all types of injuries and diagnoses including WCB (workplace) injuries, motor vehicle accident claims, home visits, virtual care appointments, Functional Capacity Evaluations and Cost of Future Care assessments.

History of The Classic Therapy Group Inc.

 

Jan 1994: Vanita Malhotra took ownership of Renova Physiotherapy Clinic – Armdale (Halifax). This would be the Head Office of the Company to run business as well as for future endeavours.

Mar 1997: Won the bid for a pilot project of privatization of physiotherapy services in DND at the Stadacona Base, Halifax; In 1998, we set up a physiotherapy department under the same project at Shearwater Military Base. This contract lasted for 7 years, ending in 2004.

Aug 1998: Opened second location of Renova Physiotherapy in Spryfield, NS.

Jan 2002: Inception of Classic Managed Care & Rehabilitation Services Inc. with the focus on medico-legal assessments and industrial rehabilitation services; Web site launched

Oct 2002: Opened third location (in NB); called Physiothérapie CLASSIC Physiotherapy, in Campbellton, NB

May 2004: Opened fourth location on Tacoma Drive, Dartmouth, NS

Mar 2005: Changed business name to Classic for all locations; Moved the head office to Quinpool Road, Halifax from Armdale.

Dec 2005: Took over the business of Scotia Community Outreach Therapists (SCOT), a company dedicated to providing community-based OT and PT services all over NS.

Feb 2009: Moved the Tacoma Drive clinic to a new location on Main Street, Dartmouth.

Feb 2011: Took ownership of East Hants Physiotherapy Clinic, Elmsdale, NS and changed its name to Classic Physiotherapy to reflect our fifth location.

Oct 2012: Moved the Spryfield operation to our newest location on Prospect Road in Hatchet Lake, NS.

Current Projects:

· Four clinics in NS

· Community based OT and PT services including over 25 Long Term Care contracts

· SCOT Kids: our therapists who are dedicated to working with children

· OT and PT services provided to our Veterans in their homes and in our clinics

· Our NS clinics are Tiers 1 WCB approved

· PT Contract with Correctional Services at Springhill Penitentiary

· Specialized Medico-legal assessments, such as Functional Capacity Evaluations and Cost of Future Care (Life Care Plans)

· Working with several employers in assisting their injured or sick workers in their return-to-work programs.

· On the Preferred Provider Network (PPN) of CBI Health.

· Correctional Services contract (Truro)

· Vocational Rehabilitation contract under the New Veterans’ Charter
